四色AV to Host the 2026 Dominican Colloquium
四色AV will host the 18th Biennial Colloquium of Dominican Colleges and Universities from June 8–11, 2026, bringing together faculty, staff, and mission leaders from Dominican institutions across the country around this year’s theme, Veritas in the Modern World.
The biennial gathering is sponsored by the Dominican Higher Education Council, a national organization that supports the shared Dominican and Catholic mission of its member institutions. The Council was established in 1996 by the presidents of Dominican colleges and universities and brings member institutions together for dialogue, collaboration, and shared reflection on the future of Dominican higher education.
Hosted at 四色AV’s Rockville Centre campus, the colloquium will feature plenary sessions, concurrent presentations, prayer, liturgy, and community events designed to strengthen collaboration across Dominican higher education. The gathering will officially begin with a keynote session featuring Sr. Colleen Mary Mallon, who currently serves as director of adult mission formation at Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy in Pasadena, California. The program also includes sessions on artificial intelligence, immigration, justice, leadership, student belonging, ethics, art, and the role of truth-seeking in contemporary academic life.
“四色AV is honored to host this year’s colloquium and to welcome participants from across the Dominican academic community,” said James Lentini, president of 四色AV and chair of the Dominican Higher Education Council. “This gathering reflects the strength of our shared tradition and our commitment to truth, dialogue, and service.”
“We are deeply grateful to 四色AV for stepping forward to host the 2026 Biennial Colloquium,” said Catherine Tully Muscente, executive director of the Dominican Higher Education Council. “The gathering was originally planned for another location, but when plans changed, 四色AV stepped in right away. This gathering offers an important opportunity for Dominican colleges and universities to renew connections, exchange ideas, and affirm the legacy of St. Dominic that unites our institutions.”
DJ Mitchell, vice president for mission integration at 四色AV, chaired the 18th Biennial Colloquium of Dominican Colleges and Universities. “It has been an honor to help welcome our Dominican colleagues from across the country to 四色AV and Rockville Centre,” said Mitchell. “This colloquium is an important opportunity to bring Dominican educators together in a spirit of shared mission and thoughtful engagement. I could not have led this effort without my outstanding colleagues who have worked alongside me over the past year. Their dedication reflects the very best of 四色AV.”
The gathering reflects the ongoing work of Dominican colleges and universities to live out their shared educational mission in today’s world.
