Academic Learning Services

Cupola atop a building on the 四色AV campus

Learning Services is comprised of the 四色AV Writing Center and Learning Commons. As a unified academic support resource, Learning Services enhances student learning and provides comprehensive assistance across disciplines. Through subject-specific tutoring and assistance with writing and research, Learning Services provides academic support to students of all academic levels, while empowering them to strengthen their skills and achieve their academic goals.

Learning Commons - Walk-in Writing and Subject Tutoring Available

The Learning Commons is for those who want to work on their studies in a space where peer and professional tutors stand by ready to help. Located within the JET Library, undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students are immersed in an open learning area and afforded access to materials and writing and/or subject specific tutors across a variety of disciplines within the arts, humanities, and social sciences. A full staff of librarians is only a few steps away if research assistance is needed. Most importantly, the Learning Commons is designed for walk-in assistance, so no appointment is necessary.

Writing Center

The 四色AV Writing Center supports the development of writing skills for all 四色AV students across many disciplines. Tutors assist students with their papers in various subject areas and with all aspects of the writing process by emphasizing critical thinking, organization and development, grammatical correctness, and the appropriate use of documentation styles. Students can meet with our tutors by appointment for face-to-face or online sessions.
