Program: Phlebotomy Technician (Preparation for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT))

This disclosure is provided to ensure you understand the professional requirements for the field of Phlebotomy. Educational and credentialing requirements vary by state.

Certification Pathway

Upon completion of this program, students wishing to sit for the Certified Phlebotomy Technician exam will be required to complete a minimum of 30 venipunctures AND 10 capillary sticks on a live person, which must be completed within 90 days of passing the CPT exam. Certifications are issued once the exam(s) have been passed, and clinical requirements have been met.

Program: Physical Therapy Technician (Prepares for the AMCA Physical Therapy Technician Certification Exam)

Program: Physical Therapy Technician (Prepares for the AMCA Physical Therapy Technician Certification Exam)

This program is designed for a non-licensed, supportive role only. The program prepares students for the AMCA Physical Therapy Technician certification, which is a private, industry-recognized credential. The Physical Therapy Technician role is typically an unlicensed support position.

CRITICAL CLARIFICATION: This program DOES NOT meet the educational requirements for state professional licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in ANY state or territory. Licensure for those roles requires a degree from a CAPTE-accredited program.

Program: Sterile Processing Technician

Program: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Preparation

Certification Pathway Upon completion, you will be prepared for the Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification, a two-step process sponsored by the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA):

Provisional Certification: Graduates are eligible to take the CRCST exam immediately upon course completion.

Full Certification: To earn the full, non-provisional CRCST credential, you must complete 400 hours of documented, hands-on experience within six months of passing the certification exam.

CRITICAL HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

This online program provides only the didactic (classroom/theory) portion of the training. It DOES NOT provide or guarantee the 400 hours of mandatory hands-on experience required by HSPA to achieve Full CRCST Certification.
